is it my imagination or do the Dutch mals and shepherds look bigger then the dogs you see in north America?

Alot of the mals around here are french bred, they are very small & light boned. The few KNPV mals I have seen are more GSD sized and in general apperance too. The ones I have seen are more man aggressive too.
ya french mal,,good for sport not so great for ppd unless you use 2-4 of them

most mals used in KNPV are not pure bred but x mals (crossed with gsd, dutchie, etc etc).

do not think thats correct
the breeding programs are not documented but GSD blood is not part of the prossesses,,
the breeding in the Netherlands are done to provide working stock not to adhere to a standard
Dutch shepherds and mals are often breed together, and if they come out tan they are called mals is they come out brindle they are called Dutch shepherds
This information is from a trainer that has intimate knowledge of the kmpv and Dutch military dog programs
If you have traveled to the Netherlands and have had direct experience of something different would love to hear
